Doctors
Dr Richard Kenner
MB ChB, Dip Obs
Richard is one of the original GPs who started at Clendon Medical Centre when it was first opened by the Hon. Dr M Bassett in 1985. Richard enjoys being part of the community and watching generations of locals grow and develop. He enjoyed working in maternity care, where he was involved in the delivery of babies who now have families of their own. He also has a keen interest in local anaesthetics.
Dr Richard Ruddell
MB BS, FRNZCGP
Richard worked as a locum for a year at Clendon Medical Centre in 1987, before returning to England to continue his medical education. However, in 1989 he was asked by Dr Kenner to join him as a practice partner, so he and his wife moved to Auckland, where they have had three children. He enjoys practicing medicine and appreciates the diversity that South Auckland has brought to his role.
Dr Jeremy West
MB ChB, FRNZCGP
Jerry has been working in South Auckland for over two decades. He has been with Clendon Medical Centre for more than 10 years and also does some work at Acacia Cove Rest Home. Jerry enjoys seeing a range of people and has an interest in chronic illnesses. He’s married with three adult children and enjoys family life, skiing and hiking.
Dr Peter Didsbury
MB ChB, Dip Obs, FRNZCGP
Peter graduated from Otago University and has been in general practice in the Clendon area since 1988. He retired as chair of ProCare Health Limited, New Zealand’s largest primary care organisation in 2014, and now works full time at Clendon Medical Centre. Peter is married with two adult children.
Dr Dilushi De Silva
MB ChB, Dip Paeds
Dilushi graduated from the University of Auckland in 2007. She then joined Clendon Medical Centre in 2010 as a GP. She enjoys the challenges and the cultural diversity of South Auckland since having worked a big proportion of her junior doctor years at Middlemore Hospital. Her main interests are women’s health, paediatrics and sexual health.

Dr Rozanna Abdul Latif
MBChB
Rozanna graduated from University of Auckland in 2009. She spent a few years working in general surgery mainly at the North Shore Hospital and Middlemore Hospital. She initially joined Clendon Medical as part of her GP training in 2017. She enjoyed her experience here with our staff and community, which lead her back to Clendon in 2018. She has a keen interest in minor surgical procedures.
Nurses
Renita Sharma
Clinical Co-ordinator/Nurse Lead
Renita is a Kiwi/Fijian Indian nurse and has been at Clendon Medical Centre since 2012. She is passionate about meeting new people and working in partnership with patients. Renita looks forward to a good challenge and loves working as a registered nurse.
Temarewe Lawrence
Registered Nurse
Tema recently joined our nursing team. Originally from Kiribati, she moved to NZ in 2007. She loves working as a nurse, helping make a difference in the lives of people and caring for someone. She finds it rewarding helping patients to achieve their goals. She has a passion for Diabetes and helping people to learn more about self-management and to live a better and good quality of life.

Miriama Heihei
Healthcare Assistant
Miriama has 18 years of experience as a healthcare assistant within the community and rest home/hospital, working with a variety of disabilities. She is of Maori descent and her iwi is Tuhoe/Te Whakatohea. Her passion is healthcare and enjoys working in a team and meeting others
Vandana Swami
Registered Nurse
Vandana is originally from Fiji and migrated to NZ in 2008 with her family. She has recently joined our practice in Nov 2017. She loves being a nurse and making a difference in people’s lives every day. She also thrives on variety and she is up for new challenges in her role. She has a passion for providing quality and safe care to our patients.
Administration
Tracy Naude
Practice Manager
Tracy has been with Clendon Medical since 2008. She is originally from South Africa, but has made New Zealand her home. She loves the challenge her role brings, but most of all enjoys the rapport she has with patients. She is passionate about ensuring patients receive excellent quality services and experience at Clendon.
Ashwini Parsad
Reception
Ashwini is originally from Fiji but NZ has been home for the last 15 years now. She is one of our newest members to the Clendon Medical team. Ashwini joined us in Dec 2017 after completing the Medical Administration course at MIT. She loves being part of the team and enjoys meeting new people.
Maree Huru
Reception
Maree joined our medical centre after completing the medical administration course at MIT. She is from Kaitaia but grew up in Manurewa. Of Maori descent, her iwi is Ngaphui/Tainui. She has always had an interest in the medical field and enjoys meeting new people and helping others.
